Description: We’re looking for an experienced cabinet maker to join our small but mighty custom cabinet shop! If you love working with wood, enjoy the challenge of bringing unique projects to life, and take pride in high-quality craftsmanship, this could be the perfect fit. We specialize in custom projects such as kitchens and built-ins, and we need a skilled problem-solver who can take a project from start to finish with precision and efficiency. As a key player in our shop, you’ll be working on the more complex, detailed projects while also keeping things running smoothly on the floor.
Skills & Qualifications:
● Experienced cabinet maker – You’ve been in the trade long enough to handle high-end, custom projects with confidence.
● Detail-oriented – You know that 1/32” can make or break a project, and you won’t settle for anything less than precision.
● Project management mindset – You can track jobs as they flow through the shop, ensuring they stay on schedule and meet our high standards.
● Problem solver – Custom work means thinking outside the box. You’re resourceful and adaptable when challenges pop up.
● Team player with leadership skills – You can work independently but also support and guide less-experienced team members.
● Able to lift heavy materials – Let’s be real—cabinets aren’t light, and you’ll be moving them around.
Duties & Responsibilities:
● Build and assemble high-quality custom cabinetry based on detailed drawings and specifications.
● Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and cut lists to ensure precision in every build.
● Oversee project flow in the shop, ensuring materials are prepped, projects stay on track, and nothing falls through the cracks.
● Work with our design team to troubleshoot challenges and propose practical solutions.
● Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
● Conduct quality checks at each stage of production to maintain our high standards.
● Keep the shop clean and organized
We’re a tight-knit team that works hard but also enjoys a laugh. If you’re looking for a shop where your skills will be appreciated, your ideas will be heard, and your work will be something to be proud of, we’d love to meet you!
How to Apply: Send us your resume to valentina@casaflores.ca, along with a few photos of your work—we want to see what you’ve built!
Applications close March 7, 2025 unless the position is filled sooner.
